Catfish Round Up

Catfish dinners with sides

In March of 1984, Matt and Joan Kinslow opened the doors to their new, 30 seat restaurant in Seminole, Oklahoma mainly serving eggs, bacon, and sandwiches. About a month after opening, the Kinslow's decided to kick-off "Catfish Night" on Friday night. Their son, Larry Kinslow, was 24-years old and right by their side when they ordered their first two cases of catfish. They must have known that their Cajun catfish breading, based on a recipe from friends in Louisiana, would be a hit. They decided to up their order to four cases that very day. However, that still wasn't enough. Today, the Catfish Round Up is known for its famous catfish and now serves over a half-ton of catfish per week!

In 2009, the Catfish Round Up celebrated its 25th anniversary and still captivates customers with their delicious catfish and is still family owned and operated. Although Matt and Joan both passed in 2008, their desire to put delicious food on the table and share it with friends and family continues. The restaurant now seats 150 guests and although many other tasty offerings have been added to the menu, catfish is their specialty and is on the menu every day.

Right next door we have a 46-site RV Park. For those traveling feel free to pull up and use our hookups for both water and electricity. In the park we also have a picnic area under the pavilion for outdoor dining. We also have a playground for the kids and grills for anyone looking to throw something on.
